Luke is a gospel written to one and everyone. Luke records the teaching of Jesus for the benefit of one Theophilus but also to everyone because Jesus is for everyone. Luke writes of the Lord’s interactions with Gentiles (non-Jews), women, children, the poor, widows, the disabled, lepers, enemy collaborators, prostitutes, sinners, the self-righteous, and other social outcasts. Jesus for everyone is Luke’s theme.
For the first six months of 2020, we are going to go through Luke’s gospel, a chapter at a time. Each week we will explore the same chapter in Adult Sunday School, during the Sermon, and in our small groups.
